We are building a world where humans can trust what acts on their behalf.

For a long time, trust was simple. You knew who had your information and why they had it. You gave your doctor your health records because you trusted them to use them to care for you. You gave your bank your money because you trusted it to protect what you had earned. You gave your company information because you trusted it would be used for the reason you shared it.

That understanding is breaking down.

Information no longer stays in one place. It moves between people, organizations and systems.

MACHINES CAN NOW ACT.

For the first time, we're giving machines the ability to act without us. Trust was never designed for that.

They can make decisions, move information, take action and work across systems without a person standing beside them.

Your medical provider can protect your health records. Your bank can protect your financial data. Your company can protect its systems. But none of them can control everything that happens once that information begins to move.

There are things we would do if we had the time. Questions we'd pursue. Ideas we'd follow. Problems we'd take on. We can now give machines some of the work we don't need to do ourselves.

But capability is moving faster than trust.

WHEN SOMETHING ACTS ON OUR BEHALF, WE NEED TO KNOW IT UNDERSTANDS WHAT IT'S ALLOWED TO DO—AND WHY.

Because capability without trust isn't freedom.

IT'S RISK.

TRUST SHOULD MAKE PEOPLE MORE AMBITIOUS, NOT MORE AFRAID.

MACHINES CAN ACT FOR US. THEY CAN'T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR US.

We should always know who—or what—we are trusting.

Sharing information with someone has always come with an understood boundary: it gets used for what you shared it for, and nothing else.

We've held people to these expectations for as long as we've trusted them with anything that mattered—and asking a machine to act for us instead of a person doesn't change what we're owed.

Trust should survive every handoff.

Identity should be verifiable. Authority must be clear. Actions should be accountable. And what we entrust should remain protected wherever it goes.

We want people to feel free to dream and build without constantly wondering what they are putting at risk. To give a machine a task and return their attention to the work that matters.

Technology should expand what people feel free to imagine.

That's why we exist—to make more possible without asking anyone to trust less.
